For those less fortunate enough not to know:

"Home improvement expert Harold Hill of Harold Hill
Of do-it-yourself dexterity and double-glazing skill
Came home to find another gentleman's kippers in the grill
So sanded off his winkle with his Black and Decker drill"

This is what we find, Ian Dury, 1979

Its true rain does dampen the revolutionary fervour somewhat.

The point I'm making is that rich and poor nearly always live cheek by jowl. We dont have gated communities and segregation and never really have. We like our servants to live close by. Keep and eye on them.

Really struck me about London when I was a dispatch rider how you could move from affluence to effluence and back again in about 1/4 of a mile.

I remember thinking.'Why arent there more riots

I reckon that the Harold hill estate is much better laid out and landscaped that of Harold Wood.

Don't really think there is a "point", Branded, it's just a load of blokes talking bollocks about London, stop being so confrontational.

Re: Harold Hill
There is social housing in every borough in London. YOu have flats in Covent Garden next to all the smart places. If you walk around the area just south of Waterloo is rammed with social housing. At the end of the kings road is that high rise housing estate but theres a load more round there right next to multi million pound homes. Its everywhere. What's your point?

Re: Harold Hill
He'd had to have stood on his rooftop to see the flats then. Serves the Chelsea supporter right.

Nope. He lived on a road around the corner from Nan who lived the other side of Forest Gate. I know this because she hated him. Apparently she hated him because "he had ideas about himself". Her evidence for this was his front garden wall was two bricks higher than everyone else's. I remember her shouting at him. She had no idea who he was. She was mental.
